This policy explains what personal data Innohire Jobs collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the control you have over it. It covers job seekers, employers and recruiters using the platform.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use the platform, and a small amount of technical information from your device.

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), and role (job seeker, employer or recruiter).
  • Resume and profile data: the resume files you upload and the structured fields parsed from them — skills, job titles, employment dates, education, certifications, location and work authorization.
  • Application data: the roles you apply to, the resume version sent with each application, answers to employer screening questions, and the status of each application.
  • Employer data: company details, job postings, team members, and billing information processed by our payment provider.
  • Usage data: searches you run, jobs you view, save and dismiss, and alerts you create — used to rank recommendations.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and cookie identifiers.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the platform and to make matching work. We do not sell your personal data.

  • To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you.
  • To parse your resume into a structured profile and match you to relevant roles.
  • To submit your applications to the employers you apply to.
  • To make your profile discoverable in the resume database, if you have enabled that visibility.
  • To send transactional messages: application updates, recruiter messages, job alerts and security notices.
  • To detect fraud, abuse and fraudulent job postings, and to enforce our terms.
  • To measure and improve the product in aggregate.

Who can see your resume and profile

This is the part of the policy that matters most on a job board, so it is stated plainly.

When you apply to a role, the employer receives your application, the resume version you sent, and your answers to their screening questions. That cannot be withdrawn from the employer once submitted, though you can withdraw the application itself.

Separately, your profile may appear in the resume database, where verified employers and recruiters can find it by searching structured fields. This is a setting you control: you can make your profile private, or hide it from named companies, at any time from your dashboard. Making your profile private removes it from future database searches; it does not retract applications you have already submitted.

Sharing with third parties

We share personal data only where it is needed to run the service or where the law requires it.

  • Employers and recruiters, as described above.
  • Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — hosting, email delivery, error monitoring and payment processing.
  • Legal and safety: where we are required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights and safety of users.
  • Corporate transactions: if the business is acquired, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to work — session authentication, security and load balancing — and analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate usage.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.

Data retention

We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile is removed from the resume database immediately and your personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.

Applications you have already submitted remain in the receiving employer's own records under their retention policy, as they are that employer's data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal data. We honour these requests regardless of jurisdiction wherever we reasonably can.

  • Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — correct inaccurate data, including fields the resume parser read incorrectly.
  • Deletion — delete your account and personal data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection and restriction — object to certain processing, including profile visibility in the resume database.
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting prior lawful processing.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text. Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted and logged, and administrative actions are recorded in an audit trail.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Children

Innohire Jobs is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum working age in your jurisdiction if that is higher, to create an account. We delete accounts we identify as belonging to children.

International transfers

We operate globally, which means your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where we transfer personal data across borders we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses with our processors.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and we notify account holders of material changes by email before they take effect.
